A metric is an aggregation of a measurement across instances of an entity.

Create a Metric

Go to Confidence

Select Metrics on the left sidebar

Click + Create

Input the name and description

Input the name of the metric and optionally a description.

Select metric type

Select whether you want to create a consumption, conversin or click-through rate metric. Select average/share or ratio metric if you want full customization.

Select the fact table

Select the fact table that has the measurements you want for your metric.

Configure the metric type

For average metrics, select how you want to aggregate data within units. See the average metrics section for different types of aggregations.For ratio metrics, select the numerator and denominator for the ratio. See the ratio metrics section for more information about the different options available.

Configure time window

Select the time window to decide how to aggregate the data over time.

Suggest usage

Set a preferred direction and effect size (MDE or NIM) for the metric. These appear as defaults for your metric, but users can override them.
